Hospitality agreement
The national collective agreement for hospitality applies to practically every business in the industry and sets the minimum wage, thirteenth month’s pay, holidays, rest days and the treatment of overtime; being generally binding, it is not negotiable.
Definition
Thirteenth month’s pay is not a bonus here but an obligation — pro rata also when someone joins or leaves mid-year. That is where hospitality payrolls most often diverge.
Working time is balanced over a period, and rostering has to observe rest days and rest periods. With part-timers and casual staff, exact recording is added — in hospitality that is not a comfort but the basis of every inspection.

What the software must be able to do
What is needed: rostering with rest-period checks, an hours account across the balancing period, pro-rata thirteenth month’s pay, and the separation of tips from turnover. Generic time tracking covers half of that.
