QR-bill
Since the payment slip was retired, the QR-bill is the Swiss standard for invoices: a payment part carrying a Swiss QR Code that holds all payment data in machine-readable form.
Definition
The code contains the recipient, IBAN, amount, currency and, where used, the structured reference. That removes retyping and the most frequent error in payment traffic. Two variants must be distinguished: with QR-IBAN and QR reference, or with a normal IBAN and a free-text message.
Both directions always need checking. Producing invoices with a code is something nearly every program can do; reading incoming payment parts and turning them into a supplier entry, considerably fewer. The second saves more day-to-day time than the first.

What the software must be able to do
Test the reading, not the printing: can the software scan someone else’s payment part or read it from a PDF and take over amount, IBAN and reference? And does it produce both variants of the payment part, with and without a QR reference?
